The absolute worst thing is when you’re starting out as a student and you are suggesting “Well, wouldn’t it be better if we actually focused on one subject at a time, rather than trying to juggle with 10 different (and sometimes very challenging) courses?” – literally, the answer was “That’s not how the real world works” from my professors. Again, being a noob at that point, there is nothing that you can bring up as a counter-argument, even though it’s true
